Our system varies - a standard Level 7 PDS (audible and visual on a screen), Level 8 PDS (audible and visual with exact location on screen), and advanced Level 9 derating and braking PDS solution. We are a proudly South African Level 2 BEE Certified Company with all manufacturing undertaken locally.

We are very pleased to have passed the required Stage Gates (Lab Scale) and single machine test at a live mining site, in association with the University of Pretoria at Level 9.

Upon review of your various vehicle types, we will then confirm whether we are able to install our equipment at Level 7 and/or Level 8 on all vehicles. Should any specific vehicle require Level 9, we will kick off the integration process, as our system is integrated with the ISO21815 protocol.

 

MPI has achieved breakthrough innovation with the development of our CDM Module, specifically designed to prevent false positives and unnecessary slowing down of vehicles, either at intersections and/or following one another. We have also developed an Actuator to facilitate manual braking on non-CANbus vehicles.

Our solutions are comprehensive, including the following varying needs from Level 7 to Level 9, as detailed below:

• Vehicle to Vehicle (PDS)

• Vehicle to Pedestrian (PPS)

• Vehicle to Object (Radar) - if required

• Under-roof / RTLS (fail-safe for GPS drift)
   

We would also like to confirm that our system is modular and can therefore be seamlessly upgraded from Level 8 to Level 9, should this be a requirement at a later stage. In this circumstance, we will only replace the VTI with a CCU and continue to utilise all other hardware.
